PULPARINDO - a Mexican Candy

		What is that? - I never expected there would be anyone who doesn't know what pulparindo is :] Unfortunately, hardly anybody does... at least here in Europe, so far away from Mexico which is its home. Anyway, let's come to the point. Pulparindo (HOT AND SALTED TAMARINDO PULP) is probably the most famous and certainly the tastiest Mexican candy ever. It's made of tamarind, which is a kind of fruit. Once you've tasted it, you'll hate it or love :-] What does it look like? - Frankly speaking, pulparindo does not look very attractive. Remember it's just a false impression, and don't you dare trash it just because it looks like a piece of asphalt. Instead, bite off a little piece (it's my suggestion) and delight in its amazing taste :] How does it taste? - Well, it's not that easy to describe such an excellent taste, since no matter what adjectives, metaphors or epithets I use it won't ever be like pulparindo. Yet I can give you a piece of information about what you may expect. Pulparindo is sour, sweet, hot, and spicy at the same time :) NOTE! Statistically only one out of four persons likes pulparindo, others think it's horrible, and that it should never be called 'food', not to mention a 'candy'! In USA a box of 20 pieces costs something between 2 and 3 USD. I guess it depends on what shop you're buying it at, but I am sure it does not cost much more, since US internet stores sell that at the price of 2 USD.
		Where to buy it? - Unluckily, obtaining pulparindo is not so easy for most of us. I guess you won't have any problems with finding/ordering it in Mexico, USA or Canada. However, if you live in none of those, you'll have to show some dexterity. First of all it's possible to find a friend who lives in one of the mentioned countries, and ask them for sending you some. I've done that myself :-) Yet, if you're an Europen and you're sure you won't find anyone who might bring/send you that candy, you should visit North America or go to London or Amsterdam and buy it there.
